Wallaby Beach House
Wallaby Beach House is an architecturally designed holiday house available for rent with direct beach access for good swimming, fishing and views of the sea and bush.
The house was designed to minimize effects on local wildlife so visitors can enjoy the wonder of our bush coastline and is ideal for nature lovers. Kangaroos and wallabies visit us occasionally, especially in the summer when feed is scarce. Wildlife often seen includes seals, dolphins, pelicans. Many small birds (including the superb blue wren) come to drink on our deck.
The house is a few meters from a sheltered beach, on a slight point. The site was chosen in the 1900s by Dr. Brown, after whom Brown’s Beach is named. While the original house no longer stands, some of the early foundations can still be seen.
In winter watch the drama of the wild weather and surf, beside the warmth and flickering firelight of the wood heater.
The house is furnished comfortably and decorated in a modern style, with sliding glass doors on two sides to take advantage of the 180 degree sea views.

Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms, sleeping six. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedrooms have two single beds each. The main bedroom looks directly out to sea and the other bedrooms have bushland views with the sea as a backdrop.
Kitchen Facilities
Fully equipped electric kitchen where guests can cook their own meals. Tank water is quite safe to drink. This is self catering accommodation although the kitchen has some basic supplies in case you are “caught short“. Catering services are usually available on request.
Heating & Cooling
Ceiling fans are in all rooms. A slow combustion stove is in the main living. (firewood provided).
Bathroom
Modern bathroom with towels provided.Extensive deck to enjoy the beach views and sunsets.
Bedding & Towels
Beds are fully made up with quality linen. All beds have double inner spring mattresses and warm wool doonas. Towels are provided.
Entertainment
TV / CD player / radio, with books, games and CDs. And step outside the front door - only 30m from an isolated beach surrounded by bush!
Rates for short stays
Minimum rate is $290.00 for 2 people per night + $50 per extra person per night. (3 night minimum stay)
